monday is pizza day!
as my roomies in canada and I started this tradition last week – 50% off of all pizzas; no more words needed – it is the perfect opportunity to show you the recipe for my delicious pizza snails. after all I promised to do so more than a month ago.
pizza is my most favourite dish – doesn’t matter if in the morning, at lunch or for dinner – pizza works anytime! also repeatedly 😉 that’s why I won’t beat about the bush, but come straight to the point. have fun cooking and enjoying!
two of a kind pizza snails
Ingredients
- 1 ready-made pizza dough
- 3 tbsp tomato paste
- 75 g cheese e.g. gouda, cheddar, mozzarella ... (2,64 oz)
- 65 g ham (2,26 oz)
- 100 g crème fraîche (3,53 oz)
- oregano
ham cheese snails:
- 1 ready-made pizza dough
- 3 tbsp tomatoe paste
- 130 g feta cheese (4,6 oz)
- 100 g crème fraîche (3,53 oz)
- 120 g leaf spinach, blanched (4,23 oz)
- 1/2 garlic glove, pressed
- oregano
spinach feta snails:
Instructions
- preheat oven to 180 °C (356 °F).
- roll out the dough and cover it with tomato paste.
- sprinkle with oregano and season with some pepper.
- depending on the stuffing put garlic, feta and spinach or cheese and ham on the dough.
- spread crème fraîche evenly across the other ingredients.
- roll the dough like a roulade with the help of some baking paper.
- cut each dough roulade in about 15 snails.
- improve the shape if necessary and put them on a baking tray with baking paper.
- bake for about 10 minutes.
- enjoy warm or cooled at room temperature.
